Cocktails are such a fun way to impress your guests but they don’t need to be difficult. We asked our favourite boozy businesses to contribute some easy DIY cocktails to wow your hens party guests (or mix at home for one!)

Honey Lemon Thyme Cocktail

3/4 cup honey

3/4 cup water

6 sprigs fresh thyme (plus more to garnish)

2 cups fresh lemon juice

1 cup vodka

Ice cubes

1. Place honey, thyme and water in a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and stir to dissolve the honey. Keep at a low simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and let the mixture steep for about 15 minutes.

2. Pour mixture through a fine sieve. Discard the thyme. Chill mixture until ready to serve.

3. Combine vodka, lemon juice and simple syrup in a large pitcher. Stir well. Pour into 4 glasses filled with ice and garnish with thyme sprigs.

Espresso Martini

By The Wanderlust Bar

30ml Captain Morgan Spiced Rum

30ml Kahlua Especial Coffee Liqueur

Shot espresso

Ice cubes

1. Combine ingredients in a shaker and shake well to combine.

2. Serve in a martini glass and garnish with coffee beans.

Pink Lady

60ml gin

25ml Cointreau

30ml sugar syrup*

30ml fresh lemon juice

30ml egg white

1. Add all ingredients into a shaker, seal shaker and shake vigorously.

2. Open shaker then double strain into a coup cup.

4. Garnish and voila!

* Simmer equal parts sugar and water to make sugar syrup, or use store bought.

Rosie Iced Tea Cocktail

By The High Tea Benefit

1 part The High Tea Benefit Rosie Tea (or Red Seal Blood Orange Cold Brew)

1 part soda water

Shot gin

Squeeze lime juice

Lime wedges

Frozen raspberries

Fresh mint

Ice cubes

1. Combine all liquid ingredients with ice.

2. Garnish with lime wedges, frozen raspberries and mint.

Hint – Leave out the gin for a delicious iced tea mocktail

Rosie Iced Tea Cocktail by The High Tea Benefit

Sparkling Strawberry

By Blank Sparkling

1 Blank Sparkling piccolo

4 crushed strawberries + 1 to serve

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup water

Ice cubes

Sparkling water

1. Make the sugar syrup by simmering the sugar and water together until the sugar has dissolved. Stand to cool.

2. Mix 1/3 cup sugar syrup and your Blank Sparkling piccolo together.

3. Spoon the crushed strawberries into the bottom of your glass.

4. Add the Blank Sparkling sugar mixture to your glass.

5. Top it off with ice cubes and a dash of sparkling water to taste, and garnish the glass with the remaining strawberry.

By Baby Pink Gin

60ml Baby Pink Gin

120ml Elderflower Fevertree Tonic

A few cubes of ice

Sprig of rosemary

1. Mix 60ml Baby Pink Gin, 120ml Elderflower Fevertree Tonic and ice in a low tumbler with a spoon or mixer.

2. Garnish with a large sprig of rosemary.

3. And that’s it! Surely you can’t stuff this one up girl….
