Hens party games are a fun way to get the party started and encourage interaction between the bride tribe. Not everyone will know each other so they’re the perfect way to break the ice between guests.
There are some questionable hens party games out there. Make a wedding dress out of toilet paper, we’re looking at you. And there are some that will certainly make your nana blush. Think Dirty Pictionary and toss the ring on the… Well, you get the idea!
But… Games are a quintessential element of a hens party and should definitely be considered despite some bad experiences you may have had. Here are five of our favourite classy hens party games which are good for a giggle but won’t make the bride cringe (well, maybe just a little…)
Would She Rather?
This hens party game is a series of quick and snappy questions all about, you guessed it… The woman of the hour! All you need to do to prepare for this one is download one of our three versions of Would She Rather? and print enough copies for the girl gang.
At the party, give the girls a short amount of time to go through the questions and select which options they think the bride prefers. Once complete, bring the bride-to-be up to the front of the group, with a champagne in hand, and ask her to answer each of the questions. The guests get one point for each question they’ve correctly answered.

I Love You Around The World
This classy hens party game takes a little brainwork so is best done closer to the beginning of the event when less glasses of bubbles have been consumed! The aim of this game is for each guest to match a country with it’s correct translation of ‘I love you’. There are some well-known versions in there along with some curly ones! Again, each guest receives a point for every correct answer and the guest with the most points wins.

Mr & Mrs Quiz
The Mr & Mrs Quiz requires a little bit of prep before the big day. You will need to get in touch with the groom in the lead up to the hens party so that he can answer the questions on the game card. You can simply do this via email or over the phone recording his answers as you go. But a fun alternative is to record the groom answering the questions on video. This way, the bride and all her squad will get to see his reactions and it will be written all over his face if he doesn’t know the answer to something important!
At the hens party, fix the bride-to-be a cocktail and bring the her up to the front of the group, ideally near a TV where you can play the groom’s responses. As you ask her to answer each of the questions, play her groom’s videoed response. This classy hens party game is bound to get some laughs!

Who knows the bride best?
This is a hens party classic and the ultimate game to find out which of the guests knows the bride best. This game is simply a series of questions all about the bride. Download and print as many copies of Who Knows The Bride Best? as you need and hand them out to the girls on the day.
Once the girl gang has completed the questionnaire, hand the bride-to-be her favourite drink and ask her to answer each of the questions. Each guest can then add up their answers and the girl with the most points wins.

What’s in your purse?
This game is a bit of fun and sees the bride-to-be and her guests raiding their purses to find the random objects listed on the game card. The best way to play What’s In Your Purse? is a quick-fire round with the host reading out the list of items and the guests marking the items they’ve found on their individual sheets. We recommend playing this game earlier on during the event. The reason being is there is a bit of addition involved which could be a little difficult with a champagne-clouded head!

Games can be strategically scheduled for specific points during the event or just have a few on hand for lulls.
Remember to have enough pens for everyone in case your guests don’t have their own.
